  1. Cook sausage, ground beef, onions, and garlic in a large pot over medium high heat until cooked through.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, water. Add sugar, parsley, basil, salt, Italian seasoning, pepper. Simmer for 1 1/2 hours, covered, stirring occasionally.
  3. Bring a large pot to boil. Cook lasagna noodles for 1-2 min less than the package says. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  4. In a medium bowl, combine ricotta, egg, parsley, salt.
  5. Preheat oven to 375 F.
  6. Add a layer of sauce to the bottom of a 9x13 pan. Add noodles lengthwise. Add ricotta, mozarella, meat sauce, then parmesan.
  7. Repeat until out of noodles, and top with rest of mozarella and parmesan.
  8. Spray a piece of foil and cover the pan.
  9. Bake for 25 minutes, remove foil and bake for 25 more minutes. Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
