- Cooked White Rice
- Neutral Oil
- Onion
- Garlic
- Soy Sauce
- Sesame Oil
- Salt and Pepper
- Egg
- Fresh vegetables (carrots, garlic, etc.)
- Frozen vegetables (peas, etc.)
Steps
- For best results, use day old rice OR make fresh rice and spread it flat on a tray to rest before cooking.
- Mince onion, garlic, other fresh vegetables.
- Heat oil in a wok over high heat until smoking. Add rice and toast for 3 minutes, working in portions.
- Return rice to wok, create a well in the middle and add oil. Add onion, garlic, and fresh vegetables and saute for 1 minute.
- Add soy sauce along the sides of the wok and toss. Add sesame oil and toss. Season with salt and pepper.
- Move rice to one side and add oil. Add egg and scramble, mix together.
- Add frozen vegetables, toss to heat, and serve immediately.
